Find Your Passion (and Then Live It!)

Posted on by Lou Radja

True success and real fulfillment only comes to us when we love what we do. None of us can truly succeed in any endeavor that we’re not passionate about. Here’s the bottom line: If you don’t love what you’re doing, then don’t do it. If you have a passion for what you do, you give yourself the best chance of finding real success. I’ve been privileged to witness this first hand watching my father teach at the university for more than thirty years! His passion for learning, teaching and inspiring young people has not only kept him performing at a high level but perhaps more importantly, has brought him a true sense of purpose and meaning in his labor of love. It’s been said that work is love made visible; is it true for you? We spend more than half … Continue reading

Overcoming the Fear of Rejection

Posted on by Lou Radja

I don’t know who set up these laws or rules, but it seems that success in life is reserved only to those who can look rejection in the eye and not blink. The people who understand that anything worth having is worth facing possible rejection(s) for are usually the ones enjoying true success. The sad truth is that many of us would rather take our dreams to the grave, than face the word “no”; a word with as little or as much power as we give it. Fear of rejection is at the top of the list when it comes to things preventing us from going after our dreams. It keeps us from making those important sales calls; asking the one you fancy for a date; send that proposal; asking for a well deserved raise; sending your manuscript to a … Continue reading

Applied Faith: A Mental Attitude Worth Cultivating!

Posted on by Lou Radja

Whether it’s Dr. King telling us about his dream, John F. Kennedy challenging us to the moon, you deciding to lose 20 pounds or becoming financially independent, it all starts with faith in oneself! The faith that it can be done and that you have what it takes to make it happen. Without faith, you and I can agree that the battle is lost before it even starts. We are all after the best that life has to offer; sound health, labor of love from your own choice, freedom from fear and worry, spiritual connection, to love and be loved, financial independence, significance, peace,…the good news is that with applied faith, these gifts of life are truly ours for the taking. In the words of Napoleon Hill, “What one can conceive and believe, one can achieve.” You might say; “Lou, … Continue reading

Adopt the Extra Mile Philosophy!

Posted on by Lou Radja

It was Roger Saubach who once said “There are no traffic jams along the extra mile”. The good news is that just about all the things we desire for our lives (good health, wealth, great relationships, peace, promotions, love…) are waiting for us on that extra mile. The bad news is, yes you guessed it, most of us have not or refuse to adopt the “extra mile” way of life. We find it too hard, we don’t want to pay the price or worse, we don’t believe in the rewards awaiting us on the other side. Adopting the “extra mile” philosophy is about going above and beyond in all areas of our lives. Success is what you do after you do what’s expected of you! So let’s challenge one another this week to give more than 100% in everything we … Continue reading

Are You Settling For Less Than You Deserve?

Posted on by Lou Radja

I often wonder; with all the resources, opportunities, people, intelligence and beauty we all have available to us, why most of us settle for a life well below what we know we deserve. Why do we surrender to a life of quiet despair? A life where we’re not really happy; not living our dreams… but we’re not unhappy enough to do anything about it. A life of feeling numb, going through the motions and watching the days go by! It was in the fall of 2006 when I really took time out and first began this painful but rewarding introspection process in my own life. I started by asking myself this incredibly hard question; “…Am I settling for less…?” What was even more agonizing was hearing that inner voice coming back to me saying; “YES.” I started examining the major … Continue reading
